Under the direction of the Monroe County Commission, the Monroe County 911 Center has recently partnered with Anderson & Associates of Blacksburg, Virginia to complete a mapping and addressing project for the entirety of Monroe County.  This project is being performed in cooperation with the West Virginia Statewide Mapping and Addressing Board with Baker Associates as consultants.  The project will produce a GIS (Geographic Information System) platform which will display aerial photographs and other vital information to 911 Dispatchers when residents are in need of emergency assistance.
