Veterans in Monroe County can enroll in the Veteran's Administration (VA) health care system, receive health information, and find out about various services available to them through the Veteran's Health Administration from representatives from the Beckley VA Medical Center.

The Beckley's VHAC's Rural Health Team will be at the Monroe Health Center on Wednesday, June 22nd from 9:30 am till 1:00 pm. An eligibility and enrollment team member will be on hand to provide information on VA health benefits and accept enrollment applications from anyone who has served in the United States military. Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD 214 form (military discharge)  to expedite enrollment in the into the VA system.

The team will also consists of nurses , who will be able to discuss such issues as diabetes management and will provide information on controlling hypertension and cholesterol levels.
